State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) are working with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office to help local residents find unclaimed property and cash. The event will give attendees the chance to meet with counselors from the Treasurer’s Office, who will help them search the state’s ICASH database and file claims for any property or money that may belong to them.

“We have had tremendous success in helping people find cash and property they didn’t even know they were owed,” said Lewis. “At past events, residents have discovered funds from old bank accounts, forgotten paychecks, and even inheritance money. It’s quick, easy, and free, and you might walk away with money that’s rightfully yours.”

The ICASH Unclaimed Property Day is scheduled for Wednesday, August 27 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Warrenville Park District, located at 3S260 Warren Avenue in Warrenville.

For more information about this event, residents can contact Senator Lewis’ district office at (630) 349-0645 or email Abby at [email protected].

Lewis was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 24th Senate District in 2023, succeeding Suzy Glowiak.
