Qdoba Mexican Eats is set to return to Elmhurst with a new location at North Avenue and York Street. The restaurant will be operated by local franchisee Holy Moley Guacamole, offering dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering services. The establishment is currently awaiting city approval for a parking variance.
According to a press release, the fast-casual restaurant chain known for its burritos, customizable bowls, hand-smashed guacamole, and fire-grilled proteins plans to open at the Rose Plaza shopping center. This new Qdoba will be franchised and operated by Holy Moley Guacamole, a locally owned business in the western suburbs of Chicago.
The company anticipates opening the Elmhurst location soon, citing the site's high visibility due to traffic patterns and its proximity to both commercial and residential neighborhoods as key factors in their decision.
The restaurant is currently seeking approval from the City of Elmhurst for a parking variance that would reduce the number of required parking spaces. Brent Bernard of Holy Moley Guacamole said, "Holy Moley Guacamole is a locally owned, family run, and born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago and we are so excited to be bringing the fresh flavors of Qdoba Mexican Eats to many communities including Elmhurst." Bernard added that they look forward to providing jobs and careers to local residents while giving back meaningfully to the communities served.
QDOBA Mexican Eats was founded in 1995 and has since expanded to hundreds of locations across the United States and Canada. The chain is recognized for its customizable burritos, bowls, and fresh hand-smashed guacamole.
