State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) are set to host an IPASS on Demand event in Wheaton on July 16. The event aims to assist constituents with the transition from plastic transponders to new sticker technology.

"The Tollway is transitioning away from plastic transponders and are replacing them with new sticker technology," said Lewis. "Rather than having our constituents complete this transaction at the DMV or elsewhere where there may be a fee, we are bringing a mobile team into the 24th District for quick, easy, and free service."

Officials from the Illinois Tollway will be present to help attendees transfer to the new sticker technology. They will also address any questions related to IPASS accounts and 'Pay by Plate' issues. Attendees are advised to bring their plastic transponders and note their license plate numbers for efficient service.

The event details are as follows:

IPASS on Demand

Wednesday, July 16

3:00 – 6:00 PM

Mary Lubko Center

208 W. Union Avenue, Wheaton

Once activated, the sticker tag can be used on Illinois tollways and E-Z Pass roadways in other states within 24 hours of activation. No deposit is required for the sticker, and any deposit paid for a previous transponder will be transferred to the new account upon activation. Balances on current transponders will also be transferred over.

"These events provide easy access for my constituents to make the switch," added Lewis. "I would encourage motorists to attend."
