Macy Ludwig, CSC Academic All-America | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois
Senior Macy Ludwig from Illinois Wesleyan University has been recognized with the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honor, marking the fourth consecutive year for the women's golf team to achieve this accolade. Ludwig was voted to the first team on July 8 and joins Lexi Onsrud and Emma Thorman as part of the program's all-time honorees.
Illinois Wesleyan University's list of Academic All-America recipients now totals 167, placing it in the top-25 across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, and within the top-10 for Division III. During the 2024-25 academic year, seven Titans have received CSC Academic All-America honors. Alongside Ludwig are Jen Kuhn (softball), Ava Khoury (softball), Nick Roper (men's basketball), Mallory Powers (women's basketball), Lauren Huber (women's basketball), and Kannyn Boyd (women's volleyball).
Ludwig had an impressive senior season, earning titles such as College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Golfer of the Year and a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-Region selection. She achieved a team-best average of 74.5 strokes per round over 12 events, winning the league championship and securing top-10 finishes in six tournaments. At the NCAA Division I Redbird Invitational, she set a record with a 54-hole total of even-par 216, finishing fifth. She matched this performance at the CCIW Championship to win medalist honors.
Additionally, Ludwig received several awards including CCIW Elite 26 Award recipient, CCIW Jack Swartz Award honoree, and Academic All-CCIW. Graduating with a degree in marketing while maintaining a GPA of 3.90, she holds the second-best career scoring average in IWU history at 77.21 strokes per round.
