The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced the recipients of the Spring 2025 Dave Wrath and Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference awards on Friday morning.
The Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference list recognizes individuals who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.30 or higher and have completed at least one year in residency at their respective schools. The award is named after Dave Wrath, a former athletics administrator at Augustana College, who retired in June 2021 after serving the Vikings for 40 years. Wrath also served as the CCIW Sports Information Director from 1996 to 2005 and played a key role in establishing the CCIW's Academic All-Conference Program in 2005.
The CCIW also announced the recipients of the Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award. Each member institution selects two student-athletes, one male and one female, from each of the three sport seasons—fall, winter, spring—to receive this honor. Eligibility requires an overall grade-point average of 3.50 or above and at least one year in residency at their respective institutions.
This award is named after Jack Swartz, who was Wheaton College's Director of Athletics from 1975 to 1982 and served as CCIW Commissioner from 1987 until his passing on July 11, 1997.
For Spring 2025, honorees included Arthur Hermange and McKenzie Reser from Augustana; Adrian Gomez and Grace Tumilty from Carroll; Kyle Cissne and Isabelle Hernandez from Carthage; Eli Spence and Esther Brown from Elmhurst; Griffin Pohl and Jen Kuhn from Illinois Wesleyan; Liam McGill and Kelsey Bruno from Millikin; BJ Sorg and Abby MacKenzie from North Central; Jereme Ombogo and Thea Aedling Ring from North Park; Rutledge Feltel and Olivia Nahorniak from Wheaton.
