Thirty-two student-athletes from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) have been recognized for their achievements both in sports and academics. They were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's At-Large team by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. The announcement highlights top student-athletes across various sports, including golf, lacrosse, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.
The CSC Academic All-America program honors student-athletes in five divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division. Those named as Academic All-District honorees are eligible for consideration on the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Finalists will be voted on by CSC members with results announced on July 9.
From Augustana College, athletes Mark Addison (Men’s Water Polo), Jacob Badger (Men’s Wrestling), Oskar Bannister* (Men’s Water Polo), Rhys Lomax (Men’s Water Polo), Steven Rasic* (Men’s Water Polo), and Max Sellers* (Men’s Volleyball) were recognized.
Carroll University saw Matthew Hehr (Men’s Lacrosse), Kevin Keyfauver (Men’s Lacrosse), and Jacob Kopocis (Men’s Lacrosse) honored.
Elmhurst University had Hunter Hernandez (Men’s Lacrosse), Sam Hoff (Men’s Lacrosse), Matt Koshiol* (Men’s Lacrosse), Eli Spence* (Men’s Lacrosse), Fischer Son (Men’s Lacrosse), and Tommy Smyth (Men’s Lacrosse) included.
Illinois Wesleyan University's honorees include Juney Bai* (Men’s Golf), Quinn Clifford* (Men’s Golf), Billy McHugh* (Men's Lacrosse), Griffin Pohl* (Men's Golf), Sam Skelton* (Men's Lacrosse), and Sam Weinberg* (Men's Lacrosse).
Loras College athletes Bo Brainerd (Men's Volleyball), Corey Mayotte* (Men's Volleyball), and Brady Oberfoell (Men's Volleyball) were also acknowledged.
Millikin University was represented by Luke Bradley in Men’s Golf.
North Central College had Casey Aikman* in Men’s Wrestling, Tyler Donovan in Men’s Volleyball, Zachary Lunde in Men’s Golf, Jeffrey McEachern in Men’s Volleyball, Alex Porter in Men’s Lacrosse, and Dominic Rohrer in Men’s Lacrosse selected.
Finally, Wheaton College athlete Jonah Swartz was recognized for his performance in Men's Golf.
