The North Central College men's track and field team celebrated a significant achievement at the NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championship in Geneva, Ohio. Braden Nicholson was named the National Champion in the 10,000-meter run, marking the team's first national title since 2021.

Nicholson's victory on Thursday night came under unusual circumstances. He completed the race with a time of 29:20.59, initially placing second. However, he was elevated to first place following the disqualification of the original winner. BJ Sorg also competed in the event, securing 12th place with a time of 30:17.57.

On Saturday, Nicholson faced strong competitors in the 5,000-meter run. Despite starting at No. 18 at the 2,200-meter mark and advancing to tenth by 2,600 meters, he finished sixth after a late surge with a time of 14:16.83. This performance earned him All-American honors.
