The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women's outdoor track and field programs have been recognized with 43 All-Region selections by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The announcement was made on Wednesday.
All-Region honors are awarded to the top five individuals in each event from each region, as well as to members of a top-3 ranked relay team. The data is compiled based on Regional TFRI.
In the 100 meters, McKenzie Reser from Augustana and Alyssa Busker from Elmhurst were honored. For the 200 meters, honorees included McKenzie Reser, Alyssa Busker, De’Andranay Chism from Millikin, and Lindsey Novak from North Central.
McKenzie Reser and Lindsey Novak also received recognition in the 400 meters. Lina Maatouk from Augustana was honored in the 800 meters category. In the 10,000 meters, Annalese Chudy from Illinois Wesleyan and Caroline Stetina from Wheaton were acknowledged.
The 4x100 meter relay team members who earned All-Region status include Tiana Grady, Lauren Marshall, Hannah Schwarz, and Alyssa Busker from Elmhurst; Mariana Costa, Riana Hayes, Meja Lindberg, and Thea Ring from North Park.
Nadala Nadeau of Elmhurst was recognized in the 100-meter hurdles. Emma Odle of Augustana received honors for steeplechase.
In field events, Charlotte Freer of Augustana, Vanessa Uitenbroek of Carroll, and Jackie Tuzil of Carthage were recognized in discus. Maria Falk and Vanessa Uitenbroek of Carroll along with Madison Payne of Carthage were acknowledged for shot put achievements.
Chloe Selmer and Paulina Tinajero from Elmhurst earned recognition in long jump while Abigail Calhoun of Carthage and Imani Ogunribido of Illinois Wesleyan were noted for triple jump.
For hammer throw honors went to Alexis Mattox and Nicole Tarpley both from Carthage along with Carlyssa King from Illinois Wesleyan. Javelin accolades were given to Heather Michalski and Laina Nelson both hailing from Augustana as well as Faith Ladin representing North Central.
Pole vault saw Gwen Berenyi and Natalie Johnson both representing North Central earning distinctions while heptathlon honors went to Lauren Huber (Illinois Wesleyan), Anna Cotter (North Central), Faith Ladin (North Central), and Thea Ring (North Park).
