Carroll University senior Grace Tumilty and Illinois Wesleyan University senior Mia Fiandaca have been recognized on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region Team. The announcement was made on Friday, highlighting their representation of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW).

The IWLCA has selected 256 student-athletes in Division III for the All-Region teams for 2025. These athletes are now eligible for selection to a national IWLCA All-American team, with announcements expected on May 23. Tumilty and Fiandaca were named to the All-Great Lakes Region Second Team.

This is Tumilty's second consecutive year receiving an All-Region honor, following her previous Second Team recognition. She was also named the 2024 CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year and led Carroll to a 13-4 record this season. A two-time First Team All-CCIW performer, she was honored as an Honorable Mention All-America by USA Lacrosse Magazine this year. Tumilty led the league in ground balls with 77, ranking fifth in Carroll history, and caused turnovers with 67, ranking second in program history.

Fiandaca, named the 2025 CCIW Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year, earned her second First Team All-CCIW honor. She set a new single-season IWU record for caused turnovers with 58 over 12 games, averaging a program-best of 4.83 per game. Additionally, she broke the single-season record for ground balls per game with an average of 3.92 and led her team with 47 ground balls this season. Fiandaca finished as team leader in goals (36) and points (28), achieving an average of three goals per game—the second-best season average all-time.
