1. 2024 Curb Replacement Project - Pay Request No. 1
Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD. and the City have reviewed Invoice No. 2015, dated May 19, 2025, from Acura, Inc. for work completed under the contract. The scope includes:
- PCC shoulder removal
- Combination concrete curb and gutter installation
- Hot mix asphalt surface patching
- Catch basin rim and grate adjustments
- Traffic control.
The invoice accounts for a $5,000 change order for the installation of 60 linear feet of 6" PVC at 1S576 Nimitz, which you authorized.
The total billed amount is $179,792.00, representing 84% of the total contract value of $214,525.00. Landscaping and supplemental watering remain to be completed and will be billed separately.
Staff recommends processing an invoice of $170,802.40 to Acura, Inc., which reflects 95% of the completed work. Once the sod installation is finished, the City Council will receive the second and final payout to conclude the 2024 Curb Replacement Project. Attached are the original invoice, including a payment breakdown, and the partial waiver of lien from the general contractor.
Recommended Action: After careful consideration, the Mayor and City Council shall instruct the City Attorney to construct a resolution for the next consent agenda.
2. Draft Ordinance Authorizing And Ratifying The Issuance Of Purchase Orders For The Purchase Of A 2025 Ford F-550 4X4 With Crane Body Versalift SST-40 For The City Of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois
Recommended Action: If the City Council concurs with the draft ordinance, it will be placed on the subsequent consent agenda for approval.
