The Redwings secured a close 55-54 victory over Warren Township on March 15, marking their first boys' state title.

The team is led by Hall of Fame Head Coach Gene Heidkamp, who has amassed 421 wins over 17 seasons with Benet Academy. "Congratulations to Gene Heidkamp and the Benet Academy Boys Basketball program on securing the Class 4A State Championship," said Grant. "These young men fought tooth and nail for their victory and deserve all the rewards that come with hard work," she concluded.
