State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro has expressed her support for the Illinois House of Representatives' adoption of House Resolution 90 (HR90). This resolution encourages public colleges and universities in Illinois to protect and expand night courses and programs. The aim is to better serve working adults and nontraditional students.

"For many Illinoisans—especially working parents and adults juggling jobs or family responsibilities—night classes aren’t just a convenience, they’re a lifeline," said Rep. Sanalitro. "These programs open doors to opportunity for people who are trying to better their lives but can’t attend traditional daytime classes."

The resolution emphasizes that higher education in Illinois should be accessible to all residents, regardless of their work schedules or personal obligations. It calls on public institutions of higher learning to prioritize evening programs and shield them from potential budget cuts.

"Illinois taxpayers deserve a higher education system that works for everyone," Rep. Sanalitro added. "Night classes make our college system more fair, and I will continue fighting to ensure these vital programs are not only preserved, but expanded."

For further details, individuals can contact State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro’s district office at 630-349-0645.

Jennifer Sanalitro serves as the State Representative for House District 48, which includes several communities in suburban DuPage and Cook counties.
