The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced its Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for performances in games played from April 28 to May 4.

Sam Bushur, a junior from Millikin University, was recognized as the Hitter of the Week. Bushur delivered an impressive performance with a .600/.611/.933 slash line over 15 at-bats. His efforts contributed to Millikin's four victories during the week, including a non-league win against Greenville and a three-game conference sweep over Wheaton. Bushur recorded multiple hits in each game, highlighted by a three-hit performance that included a triple against Wheaton. He also hit a home run in Millikin's 13-5 victory over Greenville, ending the week with six RBIs, seven runs scored, and one stolen base.

Brendan Fleming, a sophomore from Elmhurst University, earned recognition as Pitcher of the Week. Fleming made two relief appearances totaling 6.1 innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out eight batters. In his first outing against Wheaton last Wednesday, he pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing only one hit and striking out five without issuing any walks. On Saturday, he struck out three more batters and allowed one earned run over three innings in Elmhurst's narrow 9-8 win.

The CCIW continues to honor outstanding performances throughout the baseball season with weekly recognitions for both hitters and pitchers.
