The Illinois Wesleyan University baseball team has secured the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Regular Season Championship for the first time since 2013. On Saturday, May 3, the team clinched the title by winning both games in a doubleheader against Carthage College.

The final scores of the doubleheader were 5-2 and 6-4, which solidified Illinois Wesleyan's position at 26-13 overall and 16-4 in the conference. Carthage College concluded the season with a record of 28-12 overall and 14-6 in conference.

Following this victory, Illinois Wesleyan will host the CCIW Tournament scheduled for May 7-10. As the top seed, the team has a bye on the first day and will compete against the lowest remaining seed in its first game on Thursday, May 8.
