Elmhurst University is the anticipated winner of the upcoming 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship according to the coaches' poll. The event is set to commence on Friday morning at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium located at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
"Elmhurst is the coaches' favorite to win the 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship," stated the pre-championship release. Elmhurst University, which secured the CCIW Indoor Championship in March, garnered a total of 64 points, including eight first-place votes. The Bluejays are aiming for their first women's outdoor title in the program's history.
North Central College, the host of the event, placed second in the poll with 57 points and one first-place vote. The Cardinals have proven to be strong competitors with a streak of five consecutive championships since 2019 and a total of 14 titles overall.
Illinois Wesleyan seized third place in the pre-championship rankings with 45 points, while Augustana and Carthage followed with 42 and 38 points respectively. Wheaton ranked sixth with 29 points. The poll positioned North Park, Carroll, and Millikin in the seventh, eighth, and ninth places, correspondingly.
The championship schedule includes field events beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, with track events starting at 2:30 p.m. The competition will continue into Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The awards ceremony is planned for approximately 6:25 p.m. on the final day of the championship.
