North Central College is predicted to win its seventh consecutive CCIW Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship, according to a poll conducted among the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's outdoor track and field head coaches. The event will take place at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, starting Friday.
In the 2025 CCIW Men's Outdoor Track & Field Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, North Central College was selected as the top contender, receiving the maximum point total of 64, including eight first-place votes. The team is coming off a strong showing at last year's championship, where they accumulated 167 points, their highest since 2021.
Augustana, which received the remaining first-place vote, and Illinois Wesleyan both secured 53 points, tying for the second spot in the rankings. Augustana is seeking its first championship victory since 2017.
Carthage secured the fourth position with 43 points, while Millikin (36 points), Wheaton (29 points), and North Park (19 points) followed in fifth, sixth, and seventh places, respectively. Elmhurst and Carroll rounded off the ranking in eighth and ninth places.
The championship kicks off Friday at 10 a.m. with field events, followed by track events at 2:30 p.m. Saturday's activities are slated to begin at 9:30 a.m., culminating with a post-championship awards ceremony scheduled for approximately 6:25 p.m.
