The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its picks for the Men's Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week. The selections were made on Wednesday for events held between April 21 and April 27.
In track, Joe Langridge from Augustana College emerged as the top performer. Langridge, a senior from Des Plaines, Illinois, achieved the fastest time in the CCIW and the fifth best in the nation for the 3,000-meter steeplechase, securing 10th place at the Drake Relays. His performance broke a longstanding 32-year Augustana record. Additionally, he excelled in the distance medley relay, completing it in 4:13.
In the field category, Anthony Zajac of North Central College was recognized. The senior from Bolingbrook, Illinois, threw the hammer 55.59 meters at the Drake Relays, finishing 14th in a challenging competition.
