The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced Saman Rezaeyan from Augustana as the Men’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. Rezaeyan, a sophomore from Shiraz, Iran, was recognized for his outstanding performance that contributed to the Vikings securing a share of the CCIW regular-season championship.

Rezaeyan achieved a 4-0 record over the weekend, winning both singles and doubles matches against Illinois Wesleyan and Millikin. In the match against Millikin on Saturday, he teamed up with Tim Philip to claim a doubles victory with a 6-0 score against Esteban Durand and Max Macke. In singles, Rezaeyan overcame Clayton Maack with scores of 3-6, 7-5, 7-5.

The following day, Rezaeyan and Philip secured a 6-2 doubles win against Illinois Wesleyan's Griffin Hammond and Chase Tomecki. Rezaeyan also won his singles match against Ben Vigneri, with scores of 6-3, 6-3.
