The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) revealed the Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for the period of April 21 to April 27.

Zander Tubbs, a junior from Carthage and a Plainfield, Illinois native, was named Hitter of the Week. Tubbs achieved his second CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week honor in the last three weeks. His performance included eight hits, 10 RBIs, and four extra-base hits, including two home runs. Tubbs contributed significantly to the Firebirds' five-game winning streak, during which they have emerged victorious in 15 of their last 16 games since April 3. He consistently hit safely in all five games, including a streak of three multi-hit games against Augustana over the weekend. Tubbs also homered in a midweek win against Lawrence and hit another in the series opener against Augustana, bringing his total RBIs to nine in the three-game series.

Brian Duvall, a sophomore from North Central hailing from New Lenox, Illinois, was recognized as Pitcher of the Week. Duvall delivered a career-high 7.2 innings performance on Saturday at Carroll, allowing six hits with no runs in a 4-0 victory for the Cardinals. He secured his second win of the season, striking out four and issuing just one walk over 97 pitches.

The list of 2025 CCIW Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week includes other outstanding performers in both hitting and pitching categories, reflecting the competitive spirit of the conference.
