Augustana College's Maripaz Ramirez achieved a notable victory for her team in their 4-3 dual win against Loras, earning her the Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week recognition from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). Ramirez, a freshman from Belen, Costa Rica, partnered with Natasha Gauerke, securing a doubles win by defeating Ellie Kalina and Leia Papanicholas with a 6-4 score in the second doubles slot. She also triumphed in the #2 singles match against Dorothy Deans, winning 6-3, 7-5.

The CCIW announced its weekly honorees for the 2024-25 Women's Tennis Student-Athlete awards. On April 22, the recognition was given to Maripaz Ramirez from Augustana. Previous weeks saw accolades awarded to Madeline Gentry from Wheaton on April 15, Abigail Penados from North Central on April 8 and March 4, Kaitlyn Mullins from Millikin on March 25, Natasa Pupovac from Carroll on March 18, Hannah Colbert from Augustana on February 26 and September 18, Alexandra Ristfeldt from North Park on October 16, Ella Malone from Wheaton on October 9, Xingchen Liu from Carthage on September 25, Emily Markus from Millikin on September 11, and Delaney Canning from Wheaton on September 4.
