The Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Illinois, will host the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Tennis Championship for a second year in a row. The event kicks off on Thursday with the quarterfinals, continues with semifinals on Friday, and concludes with the final on Saturday at noon.

North Central College enters the competition as the defending champion, having secured its fifth consecutive title last spring. For this year's tournament, the Cardinals are seeded first after sharing the regular-season title with North Park and Wheaton, all finishing with 7-1 records. North Central received the top seed based on winning the most individual matches against North Park and Wheaton.

The Cardinals will face eighth-seeded Millikin in Thursday's first match at 9 a.m. Millikin earned their spot after a 3-0 victory over Elmhurst in the event's opening round last Friday.

North Park, which shared its first-ever CCIW championship last fall, is seeded second. The Vikings aim to replicate last spring’s achievement of reaching the final, which marked their first tournament finals appearance. They will play seventhseeded Illinois Wesleyan on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

Wheaton, the team with the most league titles at 23, claimed its latest championship last fall under the continued leadership of head coach Jane Nelson. The Thunder, who were semifinalists last season, are set to compete against sixth-seeded Augustana on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Another quarterfinal match features fourth-seeded Carthage against fifth-seeded Carroll, scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Millikin will be the host of the tournament, with all matches planned for outdoor courts. In case of inclement weather, matches will be relocated indoors at the Evergreen Racquet Club.
