Elmhurst junior Eli Spence and North Central senior Aidan Murphy continue to make headlines in Division III men's lacrosse, as highlighted in the recent statistics released. Spence leads the division with 7.45 points per game and 4.73 goals per game, while Murphy ranks fourth with a .640 save percentage. Their contributions, along with those of other notable players, have been vital to their teams this season.

The NCAA has introduced the NCAA Power Index (NPI) to Division III men's lacrosse this year to assist in the selection process for NCAA Championships. Elmhurst stands at 15th in the NPI rankings, leading other teams in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).

In the upcoming schedule, matches scheduled include Carroll vs. Carthage on April 18, and Illinois Wesleyan vs. Elmhurst on April 19. Teams in the CCIW are preparing for these games, with players like Carroll junior Jake Gehl and Carthage senior Ben Krok having significant performances lately.

Elmhurst's Eli Spence was honored as the CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week after a standout performance against Denison. Meanwhile, Illinois Wesleyan's Sam Weinberg was crucial in his team's victory over Carthage. North Central's Josiah Karnehm also impressed, making seven saves in a win over Carroll.

The next few games will be pivotal for determining the standings in the CCIW, with Elmhurst leading the pack at 10-1 and Illinois Wesleyan looking to maintain their unbeaten record in conference play.
