The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) continues its women's lacrosse season with multiple upcoming matches, as teams vie for improved standings and performance metrics under the new NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings. This weekend, Carthage will play Illinois Wesleyan, Augustana will face Elmhurst, and Carroll will meet North Central on Saturday.

On a national level, Carroll’s senior Grace Tumilty stands out by ranking fifth in Division III with 3.58 caused turnovers per game. Meanwhile, her teammate Elizabeth Wang and Carthage's August Claridge feature prominently in Division III rankings for shots and goals per game.

Additionally, the latest NPI rankings reveal Carroll at 55, with Carthage following at 58. These rankings are important, as they help determine at-large teams for NCAA Championships.

Within the conference, Augustana's Madison Langewisch leads her team in scoring while Carroll’s Abby Stas achieved a personal best in a recent match against Elmhurst. Meanwhile, Carthage's Kara Jaynes consistently performs well in goal, and Elmhurst's Gracie Eastman accumulates assists and draw controls.

Games will continue throughout April, with teams aiming for higher standings in the regular season. North Central’s Lucy Culig recently helped her team secure a win against Elmhurst and looks to maintain momentum in the remaining matches.
