Maureen Harty Executive Director | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois
Illinois Wesleyan senior Macy Ludwig achieved a significant milestone by setting a single-round school record with a score of 66 on Friday, April 4. This outstanding performance contributed to her second-place finish at the Wartburg Spring Invite and led to her being named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.
Ludwig began the 96-player tournament with an impressive six shots under par in the opening round. Her consistent play resulted in a final score of an even-par 144, propelling the Titans to win the team title. This recognition marks Ludwig's third time being honored as CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week during the 2024-25 season.
Throughout the current women's golf season, several athletes have received the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week award. April 16 marked Macy Ludwig’s third accolade, following recognitions on September 18 and September 11. Other recipients from Illinois Wesleyan include Jacque O'Neill on April 2 and Grace Fagan on October 2. Lexi Manteufel received the honor on September 25 representing Carthage, and Kelsey O'Connor of Augustana earned it on September 4.
