The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has recognized Elios Briand as the Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. Carthage's graduate student was honored following a successful week where he achieved a 4-0 record in conference matches. His performance significantly contributed to the Firebirds' victories against Millikin and Illinois Wesleyan.

In Bloomington, Briand and Krzewinski continued their winning streak with a 6-2 triumph against Ian Turnbull and Benjamin Vigneri from Illinois Wesleyan. Briand then moved to #2 singles, where he defeated Vigneri 6-2, 6-1.
Elios Briand joins a list of student-athletes honored by the CCIW this year, including Clayton Maack from Millikin on April 8 and Matthew Sengphommachanh from North Central on April 1. Other notable mentions include players from Carroll, Carthage, and Millikin.
