Madeline Gentry, a junior from Hudson, Illinois, has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. Gentry achieved the recognition after securing four wins for Wheaton College's team. Her performance last week included both singles and doubles victories in dual matches against Coe and Rose-Hulman.

In a doubles match with Lydia Adams, Gentry achieved a 6-2 win over Coe's Ali Hagness and Addison Leasure. She then beat Sophia Fain in singles, winning 6-0, 6-3. The following day, this pair defeated Rose-Hulman's Lia Taylor and Addie Patterson, 6-2, and Gentry won her singles match against Taylor with a 6-1, 6-0 finish.

Gentry is the first recipient of the weekly award from Wheaton College since October 9, when Ella Malone received the honor.
