The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced the Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for the period spanning April 7 to April 13. Zander Tubbs from Carthage College was recognized as the Hitter of the Week. The junior from Plainfield, Illinois, displayed a remarkable performance by hitting .500 over 20 at-bats, notching up nine runs batted in and nine runs scored. Tubbs also contributed to the Firebirds' undefeated streak against league opponents with his two home runs and two doubles during the week. His performance included a dominant showing in a doubleheader against North Park, where he tallied six RBIs and went 4-for-4 in the second game, elevating his batting average significantly.

The Pitcher of the Week accolade was awarded to Nate Burden of Wheaton. The freshman from Wheaton, Illinois, achieved 13 strikeouts over eight innings in a match against Elmhurst, aiding the Thunder in a tight 2-1 victory. His effective pitching, although concluding with a no-decision, contributed to Wheaton's ongoing winning streak in games he started since March 8.
