Mariellyn Vivo Conference Coordinator | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced its Men's Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the time period from March 31 to April 6. The selection was made public on Wednesday.

AJ Banks of Augustana College has been recognized in the track category. Banks achieved a new personal best in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at 14.57 seconds during the 80th annual Viking Olympics in Rock Island. This time is not only a personal record but also the fastest in the CCIW during this outdoor season. Notably, this performance ranks as the second-fastest in Augustana's history. Banks also recorded a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles event.

In the field category, Tyler Rose from Carthage College earned his honor. Rose clinched victory in the discus at the Wisconsin Private College Championships with a mark of 49.32 meters, the best in the CCIW this season. Additionally, he secured the runner-up position in the shot put and finished sixth in the hammer throw.
