The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) men's volleyball landscape is poised with several significant movements and match-ups. Loras College has advanced to the 11th spot in the AVCA poll, accumulating 290 points. Carthage and North Central maintain their positions, ranking 6th and 14th with 448 and 209 points respectively.

Newly implemented in 2025 for Division III men’s volleyball is the NCAA Power Index (NPI), a system that uses statistical data to aid in determining NCAA Championship selections. Current standings place Carthage, Loras, and North Central at positions 6, 13, and 14 respectively, while Illinois Wesleyan ranks 40th, and Augustana and North Park occupy the 43rd and 65th slots.

Individually, Loras freshman Evan Dziadkowiec leads Division III with 10.95 assists per set, while senior Corey Mayotte stands out with a leading 5.34 kills per set. Carthage's Ryan Cholewinski, North Central’s Cooper Lundal, and Augustana’s Colin Schaefer made notable contributions with impressive hitting percentages and assists.

Highlighting recent performances, Augustana's Ryan Huntington played a significant role in their match against North Park with 10 kills contributing to their win. Carthage's Owen Otto helped the team secure a share of the CCIW regular season title with a strong showing against the same opponent.

Key upcoming matches include Augustana facing Carthage, North Park versus North Central, and Loras visiting Illinois Wesleyan. Each match has potential implications for postseason placements within the conference.

"Augie (12-12, 2-7 CCIW) closes the regular season Saturday at 3 p.m. at sixth-ranked Carthage." "The Firebirds (19-3, 8-1 CCIW) can clinch the outright CCIW championship with a win Saturday in their match against Augustana in Kenosha, slated to begin at 3 p.m."

Significant achievements this season are headlined by Loras's Corey Mayotte, earning his eighth 20-kill performance and solidifying his lead in career points within the CCIW. North Central’s BK Bartlett and North Park's Ty Ingrao also achieved personal milestones. The schedule promises a decisive conclusion with teams striving to improve or sustain their standings in the CCIW and potentially beyond.
