O'Neill named CCIW women's golf student-athlete of the week

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced that Jacque O'Neill, a senior at Illinois Wesleyan, was named the Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week. O'Neill, hailing from Harbor Springs, Michigan, excelled at the WashU Spring Invite on March 23, where she tied for second place. During the event, she achieved an even-par 72, a season-best performance just one shot shy of her career record. The second day of the tournament was canceled due to adverse weather conditions.

The announcement places O'Neill among other recognized athletes this season. Previous recipients of the honor include Jacque O'Neill from Illinois Wesleyan on April 2, Grace Fagan from Illinois Wesleyan on October 2, Lexi Manteufel from Carthage on September 25, Macy Ludwig from Illinois Wesleyan on September 18 and September 11, and Kelsey O'Connor from Augustana on September 4.
