The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) softball action is heating up with a packed schedule showcasing teams across various locations. As teams prepare for their games, notable players are making significant impacts in national Division III rankings.

On Friday, games include Webster visiting Millikin at 3:00 p.m. and Carthage traveling to Beloit for a doubleheader starting at 5:15 p.m. Saturday's schedule highlights Illinois Wesleyan hosting Wartburg at 10:00 a.m., with several teams playing doubleheaders throughout the day, including Augustana at Warner, Beloit at Carroll, and Olivet at Wheaton.

Illinois Wesleyan's senior Jen Kuhn is making strides nationally, ranking third with 1.83 runs batted in per game and maintaining a .579 batting average. "Kuhn also ranks 11th nationally with 0.67 doubles per game," the release states. Elmhurst's senior Gianna Amundsen ranks fifth in assists per game, while other players show strong performances in various categories, from sacrifice bunts to on-base percentages.

Among other standout players, Augustana's freshman Alaina Diaz secured a .522 batting average, and Carroll's junior Kali Stanchina leads the conference with a .643 on-base percentage. Carthage's junior Clare Rettler and North Park's junior Eden Baker also remain valuable assets for their teams.

The Bluejays at Elmhurst will play against Dominican, starting their four contests at home on Sunday. Meanwhile, each team is gearing up for a rigorous week of competition as they aim to climb the conference standings.
