North Central College has climbed five positions in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll, securing the 14th spot, following a notable victory against Carthage. This jump positions North Central as the team with the most significant upward movement in the recent rankings.
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) maintains a strong presence with three of its teams in the top 14 of Division III. Carthage is ranked 6th, and Loras holds the 13th position. The rankings were announced on Tuesday.
The Cardinals’ win over Carthage, which was ranked fourth prior to the game, boosted their points in the poll to 199. This achievement represents their highest national ranking for the season so far.
In the standings, Carthage gathered 448 points, while Loras accumulated 224 points.
