Bryan Moore Associate Executive Director | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois
Millikin University's sophomore, Matthew Kordesh, has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. This honor follows his flawless performance during spring break, where he achieved a 6-0 record.
Kordesh, from Fishers, Indiana, excelled in three dual matches against Stevenson, Wooster, and Asbury held in Hilton Head, South Carolina. He secured victories in all his singles matches at the #4 position and was the only player from Millikin to win a singles match against Asbury. Additionally, Kordesh partnered with Clayton Maack to maintain a perfect 3-0 record in doubles play at #2 doubles.
The recognition for March 25 is part of a series of weekly honors awarded by CCIW for men's tennis. Previous honorees include Adrian Gomez from Carroll on March 18 and Ramon Vilarroig from North Central on both March 11 and March 4.
