The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced the recipients of its Softball Student-Athletes of the Week awards for performances during games played from March 17 to March 23.

Jen Kuhn, a senior from Illinois Wesleyan, was recognized as the Hitter of the Week. This marks her second weekly honor this season. Kuhn delivered an impressive performance by going 9-for-14, resulting in a .643 batting average over the week. Her contributions included three multi-hit games and a standout 4-for-4 showing in an 18-1 victory against Monmouth. Throughout the week, she scored five runs, hit three doubles and one home run, achieving a slugging percentage of 1.071. Additionally, Kuhn drove in ten runs, highlighted by a four-RBI game against Trine.

Kelsey Bruno, a senior from Millikin, earned recognition as Pitcher of the Week. Bruno secured victories in all three starts during her team's games in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She posted a 1.47 earned-run average with 28 strikeouts over 19 innings pitched. In Thursday's complete-game win against Western Connecticut State, Bruno recorded a season-high of 11 strikeouts. She also struck out nine batters against MCLA and added eight more strikeouts in Millikin's win over Hamilton.
