The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has named its Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for performances in games played from March 17 to March 23.

Rock Smith, a junior from Elmhurst, was recognized as the Hitter of the Week. During the first half of Elmhurst's trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational, Smith hit safely in all four starts. He achieved a .818 slugging percentage and reached base 11 times with a .647 on-base percentage. Notably, he had a two-hit, four-RBI game against MCLA last Thursday and contributed significantly in Elmhurst's 7-5 win over Framingham State by scoring three runs and reaching base five times.

Zach DeMarlie, a junior from Augustana, earned the title of Pitcher of the Week. DeMarlie secured his second win of the season by pitching eight scoreless innings against St. Olaf on Friday. In this complete-game shutout during Augustana's 10-0 victory in Winter Haven, Florida, he allowed only two hits and struck out two batters with 85 pitches. This performance lowered his season ERA to 2.74 over 23 innings.

The CCIW continues to recognize outstanding performances each week throughout the baseball season.
