The CCIW men's volleyball season is progressing with several notable performances and upcoming matches. The latest statistics report for women's volleyball through March 20 is available, while the men's teams prepare for their next games.
On Friday, March 15, Greenville will face North Park at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 22, Augustana will play against Clarke at 2:00 p.m., Illinois Wesleyan will meet #19 North Central at 3:00 p.m., and #13 Loras will challenge #4 Carthage at the same time. The following Wednesday, March 26, features two matches: #15 UC Santa Cruz against #19 North Central and #13 Loras versus North Park, both starting at 7:00 p.m.
In the latest AVCA poll released on Tuesday, Carthage (#4), Loras (#13), and North Central (#19) maintained their rankings. NYU remains at the top of the poll, followed by Southern Virginia and Springfield.
Several players have distinguished themselves nationally in Division III statistics. Evan Dziadkowiec from Loras leads with 11.17 assists per set. Corey Mayotte, also from Loras, tops the charts with 5.43 kills per set and ranks first in points per set (6.16) and attacks per set (10.62). Ryan Cholewinski of Carthage holds a .464 hitting percentage, placing him seventh nationally.
Gavin Rohlwing from Illinois Wesleyan ranks seventh with 1.12 blocks per set. Cooper Lundal of North Central has a .452 hitting percentage ranking ninth nationally. Colin Schaefer from Augustana stands twelfth with 9.46 assists per set.
Noah Chanthalangsy of North Park ranks thirteenth with 2.96 digs per set, while Ryan Morey from Carthage is twenty-second with 9.06 assists per set. Ben Schultz of Augustana holds a .379 hitting percentage ranking twenty-fifth nationally.
