Elmhurst leads Division III lacrosse stats; upcoming CCIW matches announced

Elmhurst's lacrosse team is making waves in Division III with impressive performances from several standout players. Junior Eli Spence from Snoqualmie, Washington, leads the nation with 5.14 goals per game and tops the charts with 7.57 points per game. His teammate, sophomore Gabe Henry, also from Snoqualmie, ranks sixth nationally in caused turnovers with 3.57 per game.

Carthage College's Andrew Johnson is another player to watch, ranking seventh in Division III for assists at 3.44 per game and ninth in points with an average of 6.33 per match. North Central's Aidan Murphy has made his mark as well, boasting a .654 save percentage which places him ninth nationally.

In addition to these national leaders, Illinois Wesleyan's Timothy McHugh stands out for his assists performance while Elmhurst's Tony Vazquez excels in ground balls recovered during games.

The local conference scene remains competitive as well. Carroll University's Anthony Defilippis recently scored his first two goals of the season against Hanover despite the team's loss. Carthage's Alec Gern delivered a notable performance against Concordia Wisconsin contributing multiple goals and assists.

This weekend promises more action as teams continue their schedules across various venues.
