The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced the Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for performances during games played from March 10 to March 16.

Andrew Johnson, a graduate student from Carthage, earned the Offensive Player of the Week honor. Johnson accumulated 18 points over two victories for the Firebirds, with seven goals and 11 assists. In a game against Cornell last Wednesday, he scored three goals and provided six assists in a 17-3 win. He followed this by scoring four goals and making five assists in a 17-11 victory over Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday. Johnson is close to reaching a milestone, needing just two more points to become the third player in CCIW history to achieve 300 career points.

Tony Vazquez, a junior at Elmhurst, was named Defensive Player of the Week. Vazquez excelled in face-offs, winning 35 out of 48, and collected 22 ground balls over two games last week. His performance helped keep Elmhurst unbeaten with wins against Aurora and Wooster. His defensive efforts limited Aurora to six goals and held Wooster to its lowest season score with eight goals.

2025 CCIW Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week have been consistently recognized throughout March and February, showcasing talents such as Eli Spence from Elmhurst and others who have contributed significantly to their teams' successes.
