The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced Adrian Gomez from Carroll as the Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. This recognition was made public on Tuesday afternoon.
Gomez showcased an unbeaten performance against Division III opponents during the Pioneers' spring trip to South Carolina, achieving a 3-0 record in doubles play. The senior athlete partnered with Dan Ezcurra at the top of the doubles lineup, securing victories over LeTourneau, Salve Regina, and Division I Stonehill. In singles competition, Gomez triumphed over Zach Ferris of LeTourneau with scores of 6-4, 6-4.
Previous honorees for the CCIW Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week in 2025 include Ramon Vilarroig from North Central for March 11 and March 4, Cyriac Cayuela from Carthage on February 26, Cole Phillips from Millikin on February 11, and Myles Krzewinski from Carthage on February 5.
