North Central graduate student Ramon Vilarroig has been recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week. The announcement was made on Tuesday afternoon.
Vilarroig, hailing from Castellon, Spain, achieved victories in both singles and doubles competitions for North Central against Oglethorpe during a match held in Orlando on Sunday. Partnering with Matthew Sengphommachanh, Vilarroig secured a win at #1 doubles with a 6-4 result over opponents Sam Wasko and Jefferson Page. In singles play, Vilarroig triumphed over Kellen Simmons with scores of 4-6, 6-4, and 10-5.
