North Central College's Abigail Penados has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in women's tennis. This recognition was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Penados, who was the 2024 CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year, secured her third weekly honor this season with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Amanda Lopykinski of Hope at #1 singles last Saturday in Naperville. This match marked Penados' first spring singles win and her 11th win for the 2024-25 season.
A junior from Morton Grove, Illinois, Penados previously received the CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week accolade on October 2 and October 23 during the fall season.
