Busker's recognition follows her impressive performance at the recent CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championships. She achieved victories in three events: the 55m, 200m, and as part of the 4x400m relay team. Her outstanding achievements earned her the title of CCIW Track Student-Athlete of the Meet.
In the 55m event, Busker recorded a time of 7.01 seconds during preliminaries, marking it as the sixth fastest time in Division III history while also setting new records for CCIW, CCIW championship, and Elmhurst. She improved this to 6.99 seconds in the final, which is now ranked as the fifth fastest time in Division III history, further breaking her own records.
In the 200m race, Busker clocked a time of 24.31 seconds, placing it as the eighth fastest time in Division III history and setting new conference and championship records. This performance ranks second in Division III for this season.
Busker also anchored her team in the 4x400m relay with a finishing time of 3:57.43. This result is noted as the second fastest in Bluejay history and secured them a victory at the CCIW Championship.
