Mariellyn Vivo Conference Coordinator | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has named Ramon Vilarroig from North Central as the Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. The announcement was made on Tuesday afternoon.
Vilarroig, a graduate student hailing from Castellon, Spain, achieved a record of 3-1 last week. He secured two victories against Hope and one singles win against Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Last Friday, Vilarroig won in three sets against Reuben Giorgio from UWW at #1 singles with scores of 3-6, 7-5, and 10-7. On Saturday, he defeated Cooper Nugent from Hope in another three-set match with scores of 6-4, 3-6, and 1-0.
Additionally, Vilarroig achieved a doubles victory alongside teammate Matthew Sengphommachanh. They won 6-4 over Ned Curley and Austin Becksvoort from Hope last Saturday.
