Carthage and Illinois Wesleyan are set to compete in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament, as announced on Monday. Carthage, the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) regular-season champion, will face St. Norbert in La Crosse, Wisconsin, for a first-round game scheduled at 4:20 p.m. CT on Friday. The victor of this matchup will proceed to play against either Wisconsin-La Crosse or Greenville.
Illinois Wesleyan, having won the CCIW Tournament, is slated to open its tournament run against Bethany Lutheran on Friday at 4 p.m. CT in Chicago. The host team Maroons will play Saint John’s (Minn.) in another initial game at the same location.
Both teams aim to advance further into the tournament through their respective brackets.
