Elmhurst has been selected as the favorite to win the 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship. This event will take place at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday.
The pre-championship coaches' poll placed Elmhurst at the top with seven first-place votes, totaling 63 points. The Bluejays are aiming for their first CCIW women's indoor title after finishing as runners-up for three consecutive years. They were ranked sixth nationally in the USTFCCCA rating index released earlier this week.
North Central, which has won the championship five times consecutively, is positioned second in the poll with two first-place votes and 58 points. The Cardinals hold a national ranking of 21st. Augustana follows in third place according to the poll, while Illinois Wesleyan and Carthage are fourth and fifth respectively. Carthage is also ranked nationally at number 22.
The competition will feature all nine teams from the conference starting Friday morning. Women's events begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and continue at noon on Saturday, concluding with an awards ceremony scheduled for approximately 5:45 p.m. on Saturday evening.
Admission fees are set at $10 per day for adults, $5 for seniors, students, and children aged 6-14, while children under five receive free entry. Students from CCIW institutions can attend without charge by presenting a student ID.
