Augustana's Hannah Colbert has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week for women's tennis. The announcement was made on Wednesday, following her impressive performance earlier this month.

Colbert, a junior from Glen Carbon, Illinois, achieved six wins over a two-day period without dropping a set in three dual matches at the top of the singles lineup. Her victories began with a 6-2, 6-2 win against St. Norbert’s Jordan Domnick on February 7. She continued her winning streak on February 8 with a 6-2, 7-6 victory over Vanessa Pham from Hamline and secured another win by defeating Anouk Bluemm from Wisconsin-Superior with scores of 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles play, Colbert partnered with teammate Colleen Larry to achieve further success. The duo defeated Grace Peters and Allison Unverzagt from St. Norbert with a score of 6-2. They also won against Pham and Cora Anderson in the Hamline dual with a score of 7-5 and triumphed over Giulia Barros and Elif Oezen from Wisconsin-Superior with a decisive 6-1.

The list of other student-athletes who have received similar honors during the current academic year includes Abigail Penados from North Central on October 23 and October 2, Alexandra Ristfeldt from North Park on October 16, Ella Malone from Wheaton on October 9, Xingchen Liu from Carthage on September 25, Emily Markus from Millikin on September 11, Delaney Canning from Wheaton on September 4, and previously Hannah Colbert herself on September 18.
