The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Tournament is set to commence on Tuesday night with the quarterfinal round. This year's tournament, the 23rd edition, will determine the league's automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division III Tournament next month.

The quarterfinals feature two games: Elmhurst at Wheaton and Millikin at Carthage, both scheduled for 7 p.m. The semifinals will take place in Bloomington, Illinois, on Friday, with Carroll facing the highest remaining seed at 5 p.m., followed by Illinois Wesleyan against the lowest remaining seed at 7:30 p.m. The championship game is slated for Saturday evening.

Admission prices are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children aged six and above. Children under five enter free of charge. Students from CCIW institutions can attend without cost by presenting a student ID.

Illinois Wesleyan secured the top seed after a strong performance this season, finishing with a 15-1 record in conference play. "IWU earned the top seed and the right to bring the final four to Bloomington," as stated in their recent release. They aim to capture their first CCIW Tournament title since 2022.

Carroll enters as defending champions and holds the second seed after a solid regular season. They have been consistent performers since 2021, advancing to at least the semifinals each year.

In Tuesday's matchups, Wheaton will host Elmhurst at King Arena. Both teams ended their regular seasons with victories. Wheaton has had success under head coach Kent Madsen, achieving a winning record in conference play multiple times.

Elmhurst seeks its first tournament win since 2010 after defeating Carroll in an overtime victory recently.

Carthage will welcome Millikin to Kenosha for their quarterfinal clash. Carthage returns to postseason action after missing out last year and looks to capitalize on home advantage at Tarble Arena.

Millikin aims to reverse its recent fortunes following a four-game losing streak. They have been consistent contenders since 2020 with two championships during that period.

Both quarterfinal games feature teams that split their regular-season series, adding further intrigue to these matchups.
