Mariellyn Vivo Conference Coordinator | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced its selections for the Men's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week. The announcement, made on Wednesday, highlights performances from competitions held between February 10 and February 16.

Evan Lowder, a junior from Illinois Wesleyan, was recognized in the track category. Lowder ran the 400 meters in 48.76 seconds at the GVSU Big Meet on Saturday, marking the fastest time in the CCIW this winter. He also completed his first 200 meters of the season during the same meet with a time of 21.87 seconds.

In the field category, Magnus Wells from Augustana was honored. The junior athlete won the weight throw event at the SAU Tune Up in Davenport, Iowa, achieving a career-best throw of 18.39 meters. This performance ranks third in the conference this season and places him 15th in Division III and third all-time at Augustana.

The list of CCIW Men’s Indoor Track Student-Athletes of the Week for this season includes Evan Lowder (Illinois Wesleyan) on February 19 and December 11, Millikin's 4x400 Meter Relay team on February 12, Jereme Ombogo (North Park) on February 5 and January 22, and Braden Nicholson (North Central) on January 29.

For field athletes, Magnus Wells (Augustana) was recognized on February 19. Other honorees include Kyle Hensley (Millikin) on February 12, Colton Oleson (North Central) on February 5, Ben Balboa (North Central) on January 29, Lucas Leal (Carthage) on January 22, and Ethan Godsey (Illinois Wesleyan) on December 11.
