North Central College's volleyball team has advanced in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) national poll, climbing to the 18th position. This move places them among six teams that improved their rankings this week. The Cardinals share the 18th spot with Baldwin Wallace after extending their winning streak to five matches.

The team's recent victories include a three-set win against MSOE last Thursday and a sweep of Dominican on Saturday. With these wins, North Central holds an 8-3 record.

Carthage College remains in fifth place, maintaining its position in the top five due to consecutive sweeps over Concordia Wisconsin and Benedictine. Carthage currently boasts a 9-2 record with four consecutive home victories.

Loras College also retained its position at 12th in the poll after achieving its fifth consecutive win by sweeping Marian last Thursday. Loras now stands at 6-1 for the season.

The top five teams remained unchanged, consisting of NYU, Southern Virginia, Vassar, Stevens, and Carthage.
