The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has named its Men's Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week for games played between February 8 and February 16.
Eli Spence, a junior from Elmhurst, was recognized as the Offensive Player of the Week. Spence scored five goals and made four assists in a game against Centre on February 8. He notably scored both the first goal at 12:27 in the first quarter and the winning goal with 10:47 left in the game. "Spence was also selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Team of the Week last Wednesday."
On defense, Chad Kohlmann from Carthage earned recognition as Defensive Player of the Week. Kohlmann secured 11 ground balls and achieved a perfect faceoff record in their season-opening victory over Hendrix on February 1. His performance helped him join Spence on the USILA Division III Team of the Week. In addition, Kohlmann collected eight more ground balls and won 13 faceoffs during Carthage's win against Lake Forest.
